Exciting Advances in Cancer Research

Dr. Kathy Maupin and Brett Newcomb discuss exciting advancements that have been made in the field of cancer research. They also discuss the new treatment that is available at BioBalance Health that utilizes some of these recent practices.

This week, Brett Newcomb and I are talking about a new technique used to fight cancer. Rarely in medicine is there really something new, however the accumulating data from recent cancer research involves using the patient’s own T-killer blood cells to kill the cancer. They remove blood and isolate T-cells, enhance their reproductive rate to make more, and then re-insert them into the body of the cancer patient. This empowers the patient to fight and kill cancer cells. These enhanced T-cells target the particular illnesses in the body, such as Cervical Cancer, lung cancer, and some kidney cancers.

What doctors have found and harnessed is the immune system’s power to fight and kill cancer. The T-cell learns—or is programmed—to attack a particular abnormal cell. This is a new way to kill cancer without endangering the host or patient through traditional cancer treatment. The fact that these fighters (T-cells) come from our own body makes this treatment unique. There are no issues with rejection, and no moral questions about where cells come from as is the case with donor stem cells. The T-cells come from the bone marrow and thymus gland and are genetically patterned by your genes to attack invading cells.

The older you get, the fewer T-cells are manufactured. Because of a decreased number of T-killer cells, the body does not fight infections or cancers as well as it did when you were younger. This is why cancer occurs more frequently as we age. With testosterone pellets, patients begin to make the same number of T-cells as when they were young, This works well to prevent cancer. After cancer occurs, harvesting T-cells from the blood stream and activating them to kill the specific cancer cells is effective and nearly miraculous.

Specialists and researchers are currently investigating ways to bank your own T-cells when you are young and freeze them so that when you are old and need them to protect you from cancer, it will be possible to inject them and activate them.

Biobalance has just obtained the first laser invented that works by activating T-cells in a different way, but for the same purpose. This new laser called Regenlite is made by Chromogenics, located in Wales. This first-of-its-kind pulse-dye laser kills pre-cancer cells, resolves acne permanently, and erases wrinkles, psoriasis, and seborrheic keratoses by activating T-cells to kill the cells with these dermatologic conditions. We are undergoing training and will be offering treatments for many skin conditions in the very near future. If you want to know more about this cutting-edge treatment found at BioBalance Health, listen to find out more!
