Dr. Maupin has practiced obstetrics & gynecology for more than 30 years. In 2003, she created BioBalance® Health to help women and men deal with symptoms of aging and menopause through personal care and bioidentical hormone treatments which offer women and men a natural and preventative therapy to alleviate the effects of aging. In 2009 Maupin elected to devote 100% of her time to BioBalance Health. She has never looked back.For Dr. Maupin, helping women and men renew their passion for life as they age isn’t just a professional desire, it’s a personal quest. After receiving bioidentical hormone replacement therapy in a last-ditch attempt to save her career, her family life and her happiness after a hysterectomy at age 47, Dr. Maupin went so far as to credit the treatment with saving her life. The realization that many of her OB/GYN patients needed the same treatment in order to get back to their premenopausal lives is what inspired Dr. Maupin to create BioBalance® Health.
Today, BioBalance® Health in St. Louis and Kansas City helps women and men suffering symptoms of hormone imbalance to renew their lives from the inside out. Made from all-natural yams and soy, BioBalance® Bioidentical Hormone Pellets supplement the body with missing: hormones needed to fight a diminished sex drive, insomnia, hot flashes, migraines and other physical and emotional responses to a changing mid-life body. Dr. Maupin also has a skin care line, BioBalance® Botanical Skin, which uses all-natural ingredients and BioBalance® Supplements derived from vegetables and plants to promote everything from good heart health to improved neurological function. Dr. Maupin is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is active in a variety of professional organizations including Missouri State Medical Association; St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society; St. Louis Gynecological Society (for which she served as President); American Medical Association; American Medical Women’s Association; American Association of Women Surgeons; and the Endocrine Society. She is also the author of the Women’s Healthcare Initiative which became law in Missouri in 2000 and protects women’s rights to receive care from OB/GYNs without a referral, including mammograms, bone density testing and coverage for birth control pills. She is also the founder of St. Louis Political Action Committee: Physicians for Sound Healthcare Policy, and she is active in numerous charitable organizations. Susie has expertise in many areas of medicine and is part of the clinical team of BioBalance Health, managing and inserting pellet hormone therapy. Her history in patient care includes Obstetrics, Gynecology, Endocrinology for women, breast cancer treatment and counseling, and General surgery. She has worked many years with Dr. Maupin in Labor and Delivery at Christian Hospital, then with Dr. Maupin’s patients in ambulatory OB/GYN practice. Her most recent accomplishment is the care and management of bioidentical hormones in women. Her diverse experience makes her an excellent source for our patients’ questions and problems.Education

Wendy is a certified medical assistant with special training in gynecology, bioidentical hormones, and plastic surgery. She has been employed by Dr. Maupin for over 10 years and has experience assisting a prominent St. Louis plastic surgeon who trained her in facial peels and other aesthetic treatments.Her role with BioBalance Health is to initially communicate with and schedule patients for consults, evaluation and treatment by the Nurse Practitioners and Dr. Maupin, both in Kansas City and St. Louis. |

Angie is a certified medical assistant with special training in Gynecology, bioidentical hormones. She has been employed by Dr. Maupin for over 5 years. Her role with BioBalance Health is to initially communicate with and schedule patients for consults, evaluation and treatment by the Nurse Practitioners and Dr. Maupin, both in Kansas City and St. Louis. She also takes care of patients in the office, and assists in the pellet insertions. |

Sarah is a certified esthetician with experience in aesthetic skin care. As a member of the BioBalance Health staff, she provides patients with facials, massages, body waxing, body treatments, body wraps, and tinting of brows and lashes. Her facial treatment skills include corrective facials and extractions, as well as special facials and peels. Massage techniques she uses include shiatsu, reflexology, and relaxing massage. She’s been trained in Esthetics, has dermatologic-product knowledge, and has been trained in the BioBalance Skin Care product line. |

Jennifer is a Nurse Practitioner with many years of experience in Dermatology, Women’s Health, Facial Plastic Surgery, Cosmetic injectables, Lasers and a wide variety of Cosmeceuticals. Some of her treatments she offers include: Botox Cosmetic, Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Laser and ablative treatments, Sclerotherapy for unwanted leg vein treatment.Jennifer is an artist with her methods of being able to evaluate a client and bringing rejuvenation to the face and body in a natural replication of youth. She has the natural ability to use cosmetics/cosmeceuticals/medical aesthetics to help clients reveal their youthful appearance again. Jennifer is very involved in ongoing education and training and attends conferences and offsite training to keep her skill set current and up to date on new products and methods.
